Avery Nurzia wants to usher in a new era of broadway with her storytelling. In the era of psychic numbing and static, she choreographs, writes, and performs in an effort to make an audience think, feel, and to create joy where there may be none. Her creative versatility allows her to make an impact on her audiences by speaking to them through the language of song, dance, and story. Although well versed in the mediums of acting, singing, and dancing, Avery identifies as a creator rather than a triple threat. Whether she is creating her own work or approaching someone else’s, she is known for her playful physical comedy and her honest yet bold storytelling. Her ultimate goal; to forever remain a student.

While pursuing her BFA in musical theatre, Avery’s ambition led her to originate new roles, discover and train in tectonic theater’s moment work, devise two new plays, choreograph and write the book to a new musical with her creative partner Bianca D’Anton.

Avery Nurzia is not naive to how this world can be. But with her work, she will pursue non transactional relationships and her happiness while exploring the human condition. She hopes whoever’s reading this wants to join her.
